Vesna Nemec

Vesna Nemec was born on June 09, 1961 in Lazarevac, Serbia.

Growing up in a family where sport is an integral part of life, as well as a professional orientation, Vesna Nemec has successfully met almost all sport branches and games. As early as high school, she began to achieve top results in sports (gymnastics, karate, swimming, volleyball and handball). Thus, in 1980, as captain of the volleyball team "Kolubara", she entered the competition in her town for the best athlete of the year, where she won third place out of nineteen candidates.

Even during her faculty studies, she showed a great interest in the expansion and improvement of her acquired knowledge, and so she was engaged in faculty research teams in various fields, most of which in volleyball. She continued to engage in professional sports during her faculty studies by professionaly playing volleyball for OK "Postman" from Belgrade. She also gave her contribution to the faculty by participating in student competitions in volleyball and swimming, where she achieved best results.

She gained her first practical experience at the educational center in Lazarevac, and also later at university departments at the Faculty of Physical Education in Belgrade, where she worked from 1992 to 2002. During this period she achieved high scores in pedagogical work. Her professorial work continues at the Faculty of Management in Sport ALFA BK University in the period from 2013 to 2014, and after that moving to the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Management, Singidunum University.

She is one of the founders of three volleyball clubs. Since 2001 she is the director of ORK "Feniks Čukarički". She participated in the organization and execution of several international volleyball camps in Montenegro and Greece. She participated in many researches regarding professional volleyball.

In addition, she is very active in cooperation with organizations and experts dealing with people with special needs and disabilities in order to develop new methodological approaches in their training. Since 2013, she is one of the founders of the Balkan Cultural Center in Belgrade.
