Nenad Trunić was born on February 06, 1968 in Kragujevac, Serbia.

Since October 2016. Ph. D. Nenad Trunić is a Dean of Faculty of Physical Education and Management in Sport, Singidunum University, Belgrade, Serbia

Since 2014 Ph. D. Nenad Trunić is Assistant Professor on the Faculty of Physical Education and Management in Sport and Manager of Master Physical Education and Sport Study Program (Singidunum University, Belgrade, Serbia), on following courses:

• In 2018 he wrote a book named “Basic Basketball Skills” (acknowledgment of Head coach of Real Madrid, Pablo Laso, Head coach of FC Barcelona, Svetislav Pesic and Head coach of Fenerbahce ex Phoenix Sunse NBA team and Serbian National Team Igor Kokoškov).

• In 2007 Assistant Professor Nenad Trunić, Ph.D. wrote a book Training of young basketball players of different age categories.

• In 2006. on the University Braca Karic, Belgrade, Serbia, he became Ph. D. for Management of Basketball Training Technology.

• In 2004. on the University of Physical Education, Belgrade, he get the Master of Arts degree, for physical culture field (Major: sport – basketball).

• In 1992. Trunic received his degree, as a student of the generation, from University of Physical Education in Belgrade, Serbia in 1992.

FIBA EUROPE LECTURER CAREER:

• Since 2013th he working as a key lecturer at the FIBA EUROPE COACHING CERTIFICATE program, with the aim of educating top basketball coaches.

• From 2011 he working as a FIBA Europe Coaching Clinic Lecturer; key lecturer on coaching clinic worldwide.

• Beside of FIBA EUROPE he was a key lecturer on several international coaching basketball clinics worldwide: Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Slovakia, Jordan, Poland, Sweden, Finland, Qatar, UAE, Egypt, Turkey, Portugal, Croatia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Netherland, Romania, Canada, Israel, Bulgaria, Belgium, I.R. Iran, Norway, Iceland, Ireland, Estonia, Montenegro, Cyprus, Lebanon, Philippines, Georgia…

BASKETBALL COACH CAREER:

• He has a FIBA Coaching license (WABC n: 2008019647) as a member of World Association of Basketball Coaches.

• From November 2021 till August 2023, he was an assistant coach of Serbian senior Men’s National team (Head coach is Svetislav Pešić, bronze medal on Olympic games in Paris 2024, winner of silver medal on 2023 World Cup world champion with Serbia (2002), double European champion Euroleague champion with FC Barcelona and winner of several national titles with FC Barcelona, Alba, Bayern, Red Star, Girona, Dinamo Moscow…)

• From the February 2021 he is a Deputy of Director of Ratgeber Basketball Academy (Hungary) in Pecs with following achievement:

• Season 2023/2024 Hungarian Championships: Men’s: senior team qualified for play-off and Final four of Hungarian Cup, U20 2nd place, U18 1st place, U16 3rd place, U14 1st place. Girls: Senior team was 5th place and they played in 1/8 of FIBA Eurocup

• Season 2022/2023 Hungarian national championships: Boys; U14 1st place, U16 1st place, U18 2nd place, U20 5th place. Girls: U14 2nd place, U16 2nd place, U18 3rd place.

• Season 2021/2022, National Championships: Boys; U14 1st place, U16 1st place, U18 3st place, U20 1st place. Girls: U18 2nd place

• Season 2020/2021, National Championships: Boys; U18 1st place, U16 2nd place, U14 3rd place

• In U19 Men’s FIBA Word Cup 2023 he was advisor of Hungarian NT wit first 2 victories in the history of Hungarian basketball on world cup.

• From the April 2017 to the January, 2019, he was Technical Director and Coordinator of Youth Basketball Program in I.R. Iran Basketball Federation, responsible for all youth National team as a Head coach and for basketball coaches’ education program (with U19 Iranian national team he was on Word cup in Cairo (Egypt in June 2017, in April 2017 he won WABA tournament with U16 team, and in August 2017 he won U17 WABA tournament as a qualification for Asia Cup).

• From the April 2014th till October 2015th, he was in charge on position of Coordinator of Men Youth Basketball National Team program in Basketball Federation of Serbia (in 2015 U20 won first place on European Championship, in 2014 U18 won second place on U18 EC and U20 third place on EC).

• In 2015 on U16 European Men Championship as a Head Coach of Serbian National team he achieves 5th place (Kaunas, Lithuania).

• In 2010 as a Head Coach of U17 Serbian National team he won 5th place on U17 World Men Championship (Hamburg, Germany).

• In 2009 as a Head Coach of U16 Men Serbian National team he won 3rd place on U16 European Men Championship (Kaunas, Lithuania).

• From June 2008th to September 2010th Ph. D. Trunić was a Chief of Technical Stuff of Men Serbian National Teams – responsible for training planning procedure.

• From April 2008th to September 2011th Ph. D. Nenad Trunic was a member of Experts Committee of Serbian Basketball Federation (other members were Maljković Božidar, Pešić Svetislav, Ivković Dušan, Žeravica Ranko. Paspalj Žarko etc.)

• A large number of players selected and trained by coach Nenad Trunić in U16 and U17 National Teams of Serbia are successfully in the senior ranks having a part of Euro league, NCAA, Adriatic League, Serbian National League teams.

• At the FIBA European Championships, some of them were selected as Best Five Championship Players or tournament MVP.

• From 2011 Coach Ph. D. Nenad Trunić is Technical Director and author of Training program on International Basketball camp “Crossover”, located in Kragujevac, Serbia.

• In season 2005/2006 he was a scout for NBA team Sacramento Kings responsible for Eastern Europe.

• In season 2005/2006 won second place on U14 Serbian Championship with BC Vojvoda Stepa, Belgrade and launched two players for Serbian senior National team.

• Coach Nenad Trunić is also personal coach of some eminent players (off-season period) responsible for player’s development and physical and technical preparation.

BASKETBALL PLAYER CAREER:

During the successful basketball career on the position of a point guard, he accomplished noticeable results:

• From 1995 to 2004 – Trunic had a successful career in Italy (Livorno and Udine), Turkey, Switzerland, Poland, Hungary, Austria, Cyprus…

• In 1995 he was MVP, best point guard and the best 3-point shooter in A2, Italian

• In Season 1998/99 he was best point –guard in Switzerland league (22.3 points per game, 52% for 3 point, 91,3% free throws).

• From 1990-1995 – Nenad Trunić played with great success in BC “Red Star” – Belgrade, BC “ Olimpija” – Ljubljana, BC “Radnicki” – Belgrade and BC OKK “Beograd” – Belgrade, Sloboda Dita-Tuzla in first ex-Yugoslavian league.

• In 1985 he was a winner of the European Championship for Cadets U16 (in generation with Divac, Kukoc, Radja, Đorđević…)

• In 1985 he won silver medal on World’s Junior U18 Championship (Manheim– Germany)
