Nataša Kostić was born on October 22, 1977 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Nataša Kostić is an experienced Chinese language teacher and interpreter. After completing her doctorate in China in 2012, she returned to Serbia, where she has since been engaged in written and oral Chinese language translation, organizing cultural activities, and giving lectures on Chinese language, philosophy, and culture. She has held a tour guide license for Chinese since 2017. During the pandemic, she translated six books, including: On the Socialist System with Chinese Characteristics by He Yiting, Autumn Rain Washes the Grapes by Zhang Wei, and Classical Allusions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, among others. As of 2024, she also serves as a permanent court interpreter for Chinese with the Ministry of Justice. Her main area of interest is Chinese philosophy, specifically the I Ching (Book of Change), with many of her works stemming from her doctoral dissertation, originally written in Chinese. Topics of particular interest include: the Heavenly Dao, the philosophical cosmology of the I Ching, concepts of Yin and Yang in the I Ching, the philosophy of universal holism between Heaven and man, ancient Chinese astronomy, and more. Since December 2024, Nataša Kostić has become Sinology assistant professor at Singidunum University.
