Miljan Vučetić

Miljan Vučetić was born on March 28, 1984 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He graduated with the Master of Science degree in telecommunication from the Faculty of transport and traffic engineering in 2008, with the highest average grade (9.93/10) since the faculty was founded in 1950. He won the Best Student Award from the University of Belgrade, the most prestigious university in Serbia. Dr. Vučetić received his PhD in computer science from the University of Belgrade in 2013. His first job, immediately upon graduation, was at VeratNet, at position for WiFi and WiMax Internet Access for business customers. Starting from 2009, he spent 5 years working for E-smart Systems as a Microsoft IT Technology Specialist. After receiving his PhD, Dr. Vučetić worked for Drey Corporation as Data Scientist on Big Data, ETL and Data Mining projects. Miljan joined the Vlatacom Institute in 2014 as a software engineer, working on several development projects, and was promoted to lead the Artificial Intelligence Team in 2019. His main research interests include information systems, computational intelligence, machine learning, artificial intelligence in general, data mining, software engineering and knowledge discovery. He has been involved in FP7 and H2020 projects, as a reviewer for the top scientific journals and as a program committee member for prestigious international conferences. He is an author of more than 50 referenced papers and 12 technical solutions. Miljan is a member of IEEE and certified Microsoft engineer.
