Jelena Živković was born on December 02, 1980 in Bihac, BiH, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Jelena Živković has graduated at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Belgrade in 2005 at the Department for Microbiology and Immunology. She was enrolled at doctoral studies from 2007/2008 and she finished them in 2014 by defending her thesis at the Department for Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Belgrade. Since 2010 she has been employed at the Institute for Medicinal Plants Research Dr Josif Pancic. In 2016 she spent six months as part of postdoctoral studies at the Institute for Nutrition, Friedrich Shiller University in Jena. In 2018 she spent two months in Berlin at the Department of Dermatology, Venerology and Allergology of the Charite Clinique. She is the author of more than 100 articles published in international journals. Most of them have been published in the top-ranking international journals. Her citation index is 22, according to Scopus index base.
