Ivan Kovačević was born on March 09, 1974 in Prokuplje, Serbia.

Professional experience in area of pharmacovigilance within national drug regulatory agency and Pharmaceutical industry (11 years). Academic experience on the Faculty of Pharmacy (5 years) and experience in regulatory affairs within pharmaceutical industry (7 years). Background in clinical pharmacokinetics/pharmacy, and bio-pharmaceutics (Biopharmaceutics Classification System).

Interests/Activities/Accomplishments:

  • May-July 2008: Visiting research scientist in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmaceutics, Johannes Gutenberg-University of Mainz, Germany
  • Participation in the research projects financed by the Serbian Ministry of Science: Experimental and ClinicalPharmacological Investigations of Effects and Interactions of Medicines in Cardiovascular Nervous System (2002 - 2003) and Biopharmaceutical characterization of the selected BCS class 2 and 3 model drugs: in vitro and in silico methods evaluation (2008-2010).
  • Participation in twining project between Serbian Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (ALIMS) and French Health Products Safety Agency (AFSSAPS), held in period 2007-2009. Project was EU-funded and was organized with a purpose of building up new regulatory framework in Serbia and capacity building of ALIMS.
  • In 2013 Ivan Kovačević received academic title “scientific associate” at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. At Singidunum University received Assitant Professor title in 2021.
  • Membership and active participation in the Serbian Committee for the Medicinal Products License Renewal (2006- 2010); ISOP member (2008-2010); Member of Serbian Pharmaceutical Society (2000-2005).
  • Ivan Kovacevic was involved in realization of pharmacists postgraduate education at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, in Pharmaceutical care (phrmacovigilance aspects) and industrial pharmacy (BA/BE, bio-waivers). He was involved on occasional basis in consultation of PhD students involved in in silico drug absorption prediction.
  • Ivan Kovacevic is the author or co-author of one book chapter, 15 papers and 20 presentations presented on the national and international meetings.
