Endre Pap was born on February 26, 1947 in Mali Idjoš, Serbia.
He is a member of the European Academy of Sciences (Belgium) since 2004, member of the Vojvodina Academy of Sciences and Arts since 2004, mamber of The International Core Academy of Sciences and Humanities https://www.coreacad.org/Member.aspx?ProId=162, a full professor at Singidunum University in Belgrade, and now he is professor emeritus (he was a longtime professor at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Novi Sad, as well as the Obuda University in Budapest). Since 1. November 2019. till August 2020. he was a rector of the university Singidunum. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences awarded him the "Arany Janos" Lifetime Achievement Award for 2026, which is awarded to an individual from around the world for his contribution to science, once a year. On the occasion of the award, he will receive the award and give a lecture in Budapest on May 5 at the Academy of Sciences. For his scientific work, he received the October prize of the city of Novi Sad for 2003. Fellow of Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association, aaia-ai.org. Member of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI), where he will be awarded a special award for 2026 in Singapore in May.
He contributed to raising the quality of higher education since he was a member of the Commission for Accreditation and Quality Control of Serbia from 2006 to 2014 and its president since 2013 (when the Commission became a permanent member of ENQA). He was a member of the National Council for Higher Education of Serbia from 2014 to 2018.
Professor Endre Pap as a full professor at Singidunum University held lectures on master studies in the subject Methodology of Scientific Research, Applied Algebra, and at Ph.D. studies in the subject Quantitative Methods for Scientific Research, Decision Making Theory, Methods of Econometrics. At the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Novi Sad, he was engaged in basic, master and doctoral studies, where he lectured on Analysis 1 and Analysis 2 (Informatics), The Decision Theory on the direction of the Mathematics of Finance and Methods of Decision Making in Business Informatics, and he introduced and lectured objects of Partial Differential Equations and Theory of Optimization. At Obuda University, he delivered lectures on doctoral studies in the field of Aggregation Operators.
The research areas of Prof. Endre Pap are linked to aggregation operators (triangular norms, copulas), artificial intelligence, fuzzy systems, decision theory, functional analysis, and partial differential equations. He was included in Stanford University's list of the top 2% of scientists in the world in all disciplines and in both versions of that list, for his overall contribution during his career and contribution in the previous year (2021).
He has 410 published scientific papers and 24 books: 6 prominent scientific monographs published by international publishers (M11), 2 books of international importance (M12), 3 prominent scientific monographs of national importance (M41), 14 textbooks, 37 chapters in the thematic monographs (M13), 12 lexical units in the scientific publication of the leading international character (M15), one chapter in a book (M45), 38 papers in top international journals (M21), 25 papers in prominent international journals (M22), 38 papers in international publications (M23), 147 papers published at meetings of international importance printed in its entirety (M33), 95 papers in leading journals of national significance (M24), 14 plenary lectures at conferences of international importance printed in its entirety(31), 7 papers published at national importance assemblies printed as a whole (R63).

He was a guest professor abroad: Linz (Johan Kepler University), La Sapienza, Paris (Sorbonne), Naples (Federico II), Toulouse (Universite Paul Sabatier), Zurich (ETH), Foligno, Potentenza, Trieste, Beijing. He held 50 lectures at other universities. He is a contributor to the Encyclopaedia of Mathematics, Kluwer (now Springer). He is a member of the editorial boards of scientific journals: Fuzzy Sets and Systems (Elsevier, editor of the area); Soft Computing (Springer, editor) YUJOR; Tatra Mountains Math. Publ; Acta Polytechnica Budapest, Panoeconomicus, Journal of Nonlinear Science and its Application, Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence. He is the reviewer for reference journals Mathematical Reviews, Zentralblatt fur Mathematics, and some 50 international journals.
He was the principal investigator of scientific projects at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of Serbia, and he was the principal investigator of bilateral projects with France and Slovakia, as well as projects at the Provincial Secretariat for Science of Vojvodina. Now is the principal investigator of the project in artificial intelligence ATLAS supported by the Science Fund of Serbia. He is engaged as a foreign expert for scientific research cooperation with Changchun Normal University (China). He is one of the pioneers in the world of the theory of non-additive measures and corresponding integrals. Among the first international monographs devoted to this area is his book Null-Additive Set Functions, Kluwer (now Springer), Dordrecht, 1995, and a large number of published scientific papers in this field in top international journals. He is the editor of the monograph Handbook of Measure Theory I, II, Elsevier, 2002, 1636 pages.
He is a member of the American Mathematical Society (AMS) and the Austrian Society of Mathematicians.
