Žarko Milošević


Žarko Milošević was born on September 26, 1982 in Vrbas, Serbia.

Žarko Milošević has joined Singidunum University as an Assistant Professor in July, 2017.


He obtained a Doctor of Science (PhD) degree in Distributed Systems from EPFL in the Distributed Systems Laboratory (LSR) under supervision of Professor André Schiper in 2008. Before joining Singidunum University, he worked as a software engineer in several companies in Switzerland.


His research interests lies in the broad area of fault-tolerant distributed systems. Some more specific topics that he is (currently) interested in include fault-tolerance, blockchain and distributed ledgers,  high performance cloud storage and computing.


Two interesting open source projects I have been working on recently are Tendermint and Cosmos.


I am always looking for talented students who want to do an internship, a diploma/master project or a PhD in the area of distributed systems.
