Singidunum University and the Hyatt Regency Belgrade concluded the Business Cooperation Agreement on July 12, 2017.
The document was signed by Prof. Slobodan Čerović, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management, and Homayoon Amirparviz, General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Belgrade.
This agreement between Singidunum University and the Hyatt will primarily focus on cooperation with the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in the field of student practice. FTHM students, mostly at the study option of Food Economics, will have the opportunity to complete their professional practice at this hotel during the studies, and the best trainees will be offered employment.
The Food Economics option within the Tourism and Hospitality Management study programme is designed to enable the professional practice in a five-star hotel, in line with the theoretical part of the curriculum. In this manner, students will be able to put to practice everything they learn during their courses.
The Food Economics option at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management provides an ideal combination of theory and practice in educating future managers of restaurants and food and beverage sectors of the hospitality industry.
The cooperation will include:
- Professional practice for students, monitoring their work and creating employment programs in line with the hotel's facilities and business activities;
- Mentoring programs for students;
- Realization of joint workshops and collaboration with students and their representatives;
- Possibility of obtaining recommendations from the CV database of graduates, advanced students and students of the final year.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Prof. Mladen Veinović, PhD, Rector of Singidunum University; Prof. Svetlana Stanišić, PhD, Full Professor at Singidunum University; Prof. Vladimir Džamić, PhD, Vice Dean of FTHM; and representatives of the Hyatt Regency Belgrade.
